The challenge

With such a wide product range, helping shoppers find the right item wasn’t always straightforward. Product discovery relied too much on the customer knowing exactly what they were looking for. Search results weren’t always relevant, and the site had no way to tailor the experience to what each individual visitor was interested in.

The solution

Giodicart implemented Hello Retail Search, giving shoppers a search experience that understands intent, not just keywords. Zero-result searches dropped, and customers started finding products they might otherwise have missed.

Personalized product recommendations were placed across the site, adapting to each visitor’s browsing behavior and making the path from discovery to purchase feel natural.

Retail Media Banners within search results gave Giodicart a way to surface featured products and promotions in the moments when shoppers were already actively looking, contributing to longer sessions and more pages visited.

The ability to insert personalized banners directly into search results is a further plus that completes our experience with the platform, helping to increase page views and average time spent on the site.

Beyond AOV, two further numbers stand out: the cart-page recommendation box converts at 23%, meaning nearly one in four shoppers who saw recommendations in their cart went on to purchase one of the suggested products. And on the search side, the 42.1% click-through rate on results shows that shoppers searching on Giodicart’s site are reliably finding products worth exploring.
